Since our company’s inception over two decades ago, Freshway Foods has always sought ways to maximize efficiencies and conservation throughout all areas of our business.

As one way to conserve our natural resources, Freshway Foods engages in a water recycling program utilizing high tech filtration systems that provides water for multiple uses within our plant. Chemical usage is greatly reduced through a clean water filtration system and we pre-treat wastewater to reduce energy usage at our city treatment plant. The earth-friendly design of our facility includes sloped floors in all processing rooms to feed waste water into our filtration system, energy efficient refrigeration systems and fluorescent lighting.

We also ensure all food waste from our fresh cut processing operation is delivered to area farms for composting or cattle feed. In addition, Freshway Foods recycles all cardboard, paper, plastics and wood including corrugated boxes, pallets and bins.
