Storage FAQs

  • How long is it safe to store fresh-cut products?

    Product quality is optimal when used within 10-12 hours of opening the bag or tray. Avoid dropping or mishandling boxes. Product will bruise and damage easily. Damaged packaging can compromise the quality and shelf life of the produce.

  • What temperature should I store fresh-cut products?

    Optimally, store products between 34-38°F in the coldest part of the cooler, typically in the back of the cooler on the lower shelves. Do not store produce directly on ice or at a temperature below freezing.

  • How many individual salads can I make with your Grab n Go kits?

    Grab n Go salad kits make 4 – 8 complete entree-sized salads depending on the blend.

  • Do your salad kits come pre-assembled?

    Our Deli Salad Kits come packaged in components for optimal freshness that you quickly assemble in-store for a complete meal in just minutes!

  • Do you offer seasonal salad kits?

    Yes! Our inhouse R&D team does a fantastic job developing seasonal, on trend flavor profiles for our salad kits that generally vary between spring/summer salad kits and fall/winter salad kits.

  • Can I request a custom salad kit for my stores?

    Yes, Freshway does offer custom solutions to our customers. Minimums may apply. Contact us to discuss your needs.
